Mullilken, Michigan resident Gregory Guilford recently discovered that he was a $1 million lottery winner after a stranger made a casual comment to him. He tells Michigan lottery officials; “I walked down the street to a convenience store to use the restroom and buy a Powerball ticket. The lady behind me in line said: ‘You should go to Bill’s Party Store to buy that ticket. They sold a big winner last night!” Guilford quickly realized that he was the customer, who bought the ticket at Bill’s Party Store. He plans to spend a portion of his winnings on a vacation.
