LEADERS URGE REGIONAL APPROACH TO REOPENING

The Western Maryland Delegation to the General Assembly, along with the Boards of County Commissioners for Allegany, Garrett and Washington Counties sent a letter to Governor Larry Hogan, urging him to adopt a regional approach to reopening Maryland. The letter notes that infection and hospital rates differ greatly in various areas of the state, and that Allegany and Garrett Counties are in closer proximity to Pennsylvania and West Virginia than they are to the metropolitan areas of Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
