MARYLAND BEGINS PHASE ONE OF “ROADMAP TO RECOVERY”

Beginning today at 5 p.m., Maryland will enter Phase One of the “Roadmap to Recovery,” and will at least, partially, be getting back to normal. Governor Larry Hogan announced Wednesday afternoon that retail stores will now be allowed to open at 50 per cent capacity; all manufacturing will resume, utilizing physical distancing and possibly staggering shifts. Barbers and hair salons will also be opening at 50 per cent capacity, and by appointment only. Churches will once again be allowed to hold services at 50 per cent capacity, while outdoor services are strongly encouraged. Governor Hogan noted that, if there is an “uptick” in hospitalizations and/or positive COVID-19 cases, the state will quickly respond.
