ALLEGANY, GARRETT TO RECEIVE BROADBAND FUNDING

Allegany and Garrett Counties will share in nearly $7.3 million in funding from the Maryland Broadband Infrastructure Program to construct necessary broadband infrastructure to expand services. The funding will support three large-scale projects in several counties. This money is in addition to nearly $9.6 million approved last week by the Maryland Board of Public Works to support more than 5,000 households and businesses in rural counties and communities.
