J.C. Penney has announced that its Country Club Mall location will be closing. The local store was included in the first round of closings, and is one of 3 locations in Maryland to be shuttered. No timetable was given. In all, the chain plans to close 242 stores, following the filing of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
