WARNING PROCESS FOR NUISANCE VIOLATIONS ABOLISHED

The Cumberland Mayor and City Council is doing away with a warning process for nuisance violations, which will now allow officers to issue citations and fines to offenders. Mayor Ray Morriss and council members says this will allow swift action on violations such as high grass and weeds, burning leaves and feeding feral animals. The action was taken Tuesday evening, during a meeting, conducting through Zoom video conferencing.
