WOLF’S PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS RULED UNCONSTITUTIONAL

A federal judge has ruled Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s pandemic restrictions unconstitutional. The restrictions included placing size limits on gatherings, required people to stay home, and ordered “non-life-sustaining” businesses to shut down. The judge sided with plaintiffs including hair salons, drive-in movie theaters, a farmer’s market vendor and several Republican office holders in their lawsuit against Wolf. In making his ruling, U.S. District Judge William Stickman IV says the pandemic policies have been overreaching, arbitrary and violated citizens’ constitutional rights.
