BALLOT BOX INSTALLED AT COUNTY BUILDING

The ballot box for the November 3rd General Election  has arrived at the Allegany County Office Complex, and is ready for use. The ballot box will be monitored through surveillance cameras, and is available 24-hours to deposit ballots. A second drop box is expected to be placed at Mountain Ridge High School in Frostburg around October 17th. The box on Kelly Road is being emptied once a day, but after October 19th, that will change to twice a day. There will be six voting centers available for in person voting on Election Day. Those centers are Allegany, Fort Hill and Mountain Ridge High Schools, Westmar Middle School, the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department and the Allegany County Office Complex on Kelly Road.
