GARRETT REPORTS FOURTH RABIES CASE

 

 

The Garrett County Health Department is reporting its fourth rabies case; an unvaccinated feral barn cat was confirmed positive for rabies on October 1st. The property owners, who noticed the cat had facial trauma, were able to capture it and take it to the vet. The cat displayed mild neurological symptoms and then passed away on its own. The Garrett County Health Department’s Environmental Health Services will be holding a low-cost rabies clinic on October 17th at the Health Department.
