The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has awarded Comptroller Peter Franchot and his office with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The agency received the award for the Fiscal year 2019 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The agency has received the award for the last 40 years. It is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
