Forty-year-old-Cumberland resident Scott Michael Dersin was charged with second degree assault, following a Sunday incident on North Lee Street. Dersin was trying to leave the residence, but was detained, and officers observed visible injuries to the victim. He received a District Court hearing, and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
