ONE DEATH, 50 NEW COVID CASES IN ALLEGANY COUNTY

A community member in their 60’s has died from complications of COVID-19 in Allegany County; this is the 25th fatality in the county. Fifty new cases have been confirmed since Monday, bringing the county’s cumulative case total to 749. The latest cases include two males age 12 or under, two females and one male in their teens, six women and a man in their 20s, three women and three men in their 30s, four women and four men in their 40s, two women and three men in their 50s, eight women and four men in their 60s, and three women and four men in their 70s. In Garrett County, there have been four additional cases reported, bringing that county’s total positives to 160.  Contact tracing throughout Maryland is being done through the University of Chicago, with interviews being done over the phone.
