MINERAL COUNTY STATUS NOW “RED”

Mineral County has entered “red” status due to the rising positivity rates. Classes for students will be held remotely today and tomorrow. The infection rate is now 28.71 per 100,000 people; the positivity rate is 8.35 per cent. The state’s ranking system shows Mineral and Mingo counties at “red” status; Hampshire County was “orange,” while both Hardy and Grant counties were “green.” Along with in-person learning, Mineral County has suspended all athletics and extracurricular activities.
