CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO RETIRE IN JUNE OF 2021

City Administrator Jeff Rhodes announced during Tuesday’s Mayor and Council meeting that he will retire, effective June 1st of next year. He began working for the city in 1997, as director of administrative services, and was appointed acting city administrator in 1997, following the resignation of Jeff Repp. Cumberland never pursued other individuals, even though it received several applications for the position. During his career, Rhodes had served as Frostburg’s city administrator, and in the same positions for Keyser and Grafton, West Virginia.
