COVID-19 CASES RISE TO 1,076

The Allegany County Health Department is reporting that in a two-day span, from Wednesday through Friday of last week, 129 new COVID-19 cases were reported. The total number of cases in the county now stands at 1,076. Two Allegany County residents have died during that time, with complications from COVID-19, bringing the county’s death toll to 27. The Allegany County case rate has reached 46.66 cases per 100,000 and remains the highest case rate in the state. By comparison, Maryland’s case rate stands at 15.54 cases per 100,000 population.
