TWO INMATE DEATHS AT CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS

There have been two coronavirus-related deaths at correctional institutions in Maryland. The Roxbury Correctional Institution is reporting an inmate in his 60’s died in late October, after being hospitalized for several weeks. The second death was a 50-year-old man at MCI-Hagerstown, and he was also hospitalized prior to his death. Despite the two deaths, the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services says it “continues to do everything possible to slow the spread of the virus.”
