FEDERAL COURTS CLOSING NEXT WEEK

Maryland’s federal courthouses in Baltimore and Greenbelt will be closing to the public for at least two weeks; hearings will be suspended, because of the spike in coronavirus cases in the region. The public will not be allowed in either courthouse, without prior approval. The restrictions will be in effect for about two weeks, and the court will review metrics then, to see if restrictions can be lifted or modified. Some court hearings may be transferred to virtual formats.
