Twenty-three-year-old Cumberland resident Jamar Cordelle Peck was arrested and charged with assault early Saturday morning, following an incident in the 100-block of North Mechanic Street. The victim was hit several times in the head and face and was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Peck received a District Court hearing, and was ordered held without bond.
