WVEA SEEKING ONLINE LEARNING THROUGH 2021

The West Virginia Education Association is lobbying Governor Jim Justice to take public schools online through the end of the school year because of the coronavirus pandemic. In just the past week, the Mountain State experienced 4,404 confirmed virus cases, a 63 per cent increase from the previous week. Governor Justice is considering the request, but he and health officials are weighing questions such as the effectiveness of virtual learning and how to fill a child care gap.
