MARYLAND EVICTION PREVENTION GRANTS ANNOUNCED

Governor Larry Hogan has announced that 17 local jurisdictions have been awarded $19.3 million in Maryland Eviction Prevention Partnership Grants, which will address the needs of more than 3600 households across the state. Allegany County received $39,000 in grants; in comparison, Baltimore City and Baltimore County received a combined $5 million, while Montgomery and Prince George’s received $3.4 and $2.6 million, respectively. The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development had previously distributed $2.2 million in grants to eight counties.
