The former Centre Street United Methodist Church is being converted to 11 luxury apartments, and some of the units could be ready by January, and the rest by March of next year. Local businessman Tim Mullaney has purchased the building; his son, Sean, will be the project coordinator. The 56,000-square-foot building is being converted into one and two-bedroom units. The building will be renamed Asbury Steeple Lofts, named after a historic figure in the Methodist Church.
