The Allegany County Health Department is reporting the new case count is now at 5,172 with a total of 147deaths. The current case rate in the county is 78.31 cases per 100,000 population, while the state average is 37.89 per 100,000. Allegany County’s positivity rate is now at 12.47 per cent; the statewide average is 7.36 per cent. There will be no testing at the Allegany County Fairgrounds tomorrow or on New Year’s Day. Testing is available next Monday from 2 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
