Purgitsville resident Heath Baker was killed Tuesday, following a two-vehicle crash on Route 220 near Old Fields. Baker died from injuries sustained in the 5:30 a.m. accident. No further details were provided by the Hampshire County Sheriff’s Office. Responding were the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department, Fraley Ambulance Service, the West Virginia Division of Highways and the West Virginia Public Service Commission.
