VIRTUAL LEARNING TO REMAIN IN PLACE

Virtual learning will remain in place in Allegany County Schools, at least through next month. The Board of Education voted to remain in a fully-virtual format until the target positivity rate in the county is 5 per cent or less and the target cases per 100,000 is 15 cases or less for five consecutive days. There will be further discussion on a return to school, the availability of adequate staffing and county health metrics at the February 9th meeting, or sooner if necessary.
