MAN SENTENCED IN FRAUD CASE

Berkeley County resident Christopher Engle was sentenced to more than three years in prison for defrauding donors of a for-profit entity. Engle was convicted of wire fraud related to his actions supervising Hearts2Heroes, which was advertised as a group that creates care packages for deployed service members; Engle was the organization’s co-owner. The total loss to the organization was nearly $287,000. Along with the prison term, Engle will also have to pay restitution for the money he took from the organization.
