MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER, DRUG COUNTS

Forty-six-year-old Charles Roger Clark II is facing second-degree attempted murder charges, counts of first- and second-degree assault, and possession of CDS, not marijuana. Clark was found on Independence Street, carrying a screwdriver near the front of the residence. A female victim had been assaulted and received medical assistance for non-life-threatening injuries. Clark was arrested and searched. Police found suspected crack cocaine on him. He later received a District Court hearing and was ordered held without bond.
