Cumberland resident Leslie Hamilton has been charged with assaulting two Cumberland City Police Officers, following an incident in the 100-block of Arch Street on Sunday. While investigating a disturbance there, Ms. Hamilton assaulted the officers; she also allegedly assaulted another person at the residence, prior to the arrival of police. She was charged with three counts of second-degree assault and intoxicated public disturbance. She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center, and was to have received her initial appearance in District Court.
