District 1-A Delegate Wendell Beitzel held a hearing this week, to extend the sunset provision on a bill, entitled, the “State Lakes Protection and Restoration Funding,” designed to protect the environment. The bill would keep the funding provisions from expiring next year and would extend it to June 30, 2027. The goal of the bill would be to ensure state lakes are adequately funded for protection and restoration.
