Since Friday, there have been three additional COVID-19 deaths and 21 new cases, bringing the case count to 6,369. The total number of fatalities is now at 196. The current case rate is now less than half of the state average. Allegany County’s positivity rate is now at 2.99 per cent, the lowest it has been since mid-October, while the statewide average is 4.17 per cent. Vaccination efforts in the county continue to exceed the statewide average, despite limited vaccine supplies and winter weather.
