OAKLAND MAN CHARGED IN CAPITOL RIOTS

An Oakland resident faces federal charges for his part in the Capitol riots on January 6th. Daniel Egtvedt, in federal charging documents, faces several counts of striking and beating capitol police officers. Egtvedt also allegedly dared police officers to shoot and kill him during the uprising. The charges were filed in D.C. federal court. In several media posts and pictures, he boasted of GOP ties with former Vice President Mike Pence and Congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas.
