A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early yesterday morning on National Highway at Winchester Road, near the Super 8 motel. The investigation showed the man, driving a Honda Ridgeline, left the roadway and a hit a concrete wall. He was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Next of kin was notified, and the investigation by the Maryland State Police is continuing. In Mineral County, one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Knobley Road in Short Gap yesterday afternoon. The accident happened just after 2 p.m., about 2-1/2 miles from Route 956. The road was closed for several hours, while the accident scene was cleared.
