Since Friday, there has been one death and a cumulative case count of 6,393 positive cases of COVID-19 in Allegany County. The current case rate is less than half of the state average, with the positivity rate at nearly half the statewide average of 3.91 per cent. A total of 9,293 Allegany County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine with just over 7 per cent receiving both doses. Allegany County has exceeded the state’s numbers in both those who have received the first dose, and those who have received the second.
