ELLIOTT APPOINTED STATE’S ATTORNEY

James F. Elliott has been appointed Allegany County State’s Attorney, succeeding Michael Twigg who was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge W. Timothy Finan. Elliott, a graduate of Bishop Walsh School, Frostburg State University and the University of Baltimore School of Law, returned to the area in 2011, after working in Howard County. Twigg had served as Allegany County State’s Attorney since 2002.
