MEDICAID FRAUD SETTLEMENT REACHED IN WEST VIRGINIA

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrissey has announced a more than $300,000 settlement with Grant Memorial Hospital, which had been accused of improperly billing Medicaid from 2014 to 2016. The over $300,000 settlement resolves allegations that Grant Memorial Hospital improperly billed Medicaid for services that a physician was not credentialed to provide. The hospital recognized the issue and self-reported it to authorities.
