COUNTERFEIT MONEY OPERATION DISCOVERED IN SOMERSET

Ohio residents Kristin Lones and Charles Pierce have a preliminary hearing next week after being charged with hundreds of felony counts of counterfeiting. Police say they found a printer in the trunk of the couples’ vehicle while investigating reports of counterfeit money in the county. Police found a printer in the trunk and in a subsequent search of their hotel room, they found $3,000 worth of fake bills. Other items, often used to make counterfeit money were also discovered, including white out, glue, flex seal, hairspray, and a sewing kit. They also found two glass pipes with white residue and a counterfeit $50 bill rolled up, with white residue along with a scale. They are being held at the Somerset County prison, in lieu of $75,000.
