GOVERNOR MARKS ONE YEAR SINCE FIRST CORONAVIRUS CASE

Governor Larry Hogan held a twilight vigil Friday to remember the Marylanders who have died from the coronavirus. It marked one year since the state recorded its first cases of the virus that has claimed the lives of more than 77-hundred residents. The governor held a moment of silence in honor of the victims and he thanked the essential workers who have been on the front lines throughout the pandemic. The State House dome, Government House and landmarks across the state were illuminated amber light in tribute to the victims.
