SIX NEW COVID-19 CASES IN ALLEGANY COUNTY

Six new COVID-19 cases have been reported to Allegany County, with no additional deaths from the virus. The Health Department is now reporting 11,560 residents have received at least their first dose of vaccine, with 8,124 of those now fully vaccinated with their second dose. Buy comparison, the state reported nearly 17 percent of all residents had received at least their first dose of the vaccine, with 9.3 per cent now fully vaccinated. The health department and UPMC Western Maryland are currently vaccinating those age 65 and older, starting with the oldest first.  Once you have registered using the Vaccine Interest Form at health.maryland.gov/allegany, you do not need to do anything further to get on the vaccination list.
