Fifty-one-year-old Accident resident Christopher Heinrich Beitzel was held on $1500 bond following an attempted stop by Cumberland City Police officers. Police tried to stop his vehicle for speeding on Interstate 68, and was eventually stopped in the area of Pine Avenue. There was probable cause to search the vehicle, and a loaded handgun was found in the passenger compartment. He was arrested on several handgun and traffic charges. He received a District Court hearing, where bond was established.
