The Allegany County Health Department is reporting four new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths. A total of 11,724 Allegany County residents have received at least their first dose of the vaccine, with 8,199 fully vaccinated with their second dose. The state rate for the initial vaccination is slightly higher, while the number of residents fully vaccinated. The Western Maryland mass vaccination site in Hagerstown will open a week earlier than expected, on Thursday, March 25th. The state is in active discussions with jurisdictions that have expressed an interest in hosting a mass vaccination site.
