TEACHER CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ASSAULTING STUDENT

Buffalo Mills resident Robert Sines, a teacher at the Hope for Hyndman Charter School, has been arrested and charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person less than 13-years old, unlawful contact with a minor and institutional sexual assault. Sines is 46 years old and the alleged victim is in the sixth grade. Investigators say they discovered emails that Sines had allegedly sent to the victim, which were sexual in nature. He is being lodged in the Bedford County Jail on $150,000 bail, and has a preliminary hearing on March 24th.
