The Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office is introducing a new Civil Rights Unit to prosecute hate crimes. The unit’s job will be to address practices of discrimination in housing, education, health care and employment. It will also work with the National Security Section to investigate allegations of domestic terrorism, including hate crimes and racially motivated offenses.
