District 1-A Delegate Wendell Betizel held a hearing yesterday, regarding archery hunting safety zones in Allegany and Garrett Counties. The bill reduces the current archery hunting safety zone from 150 yards to 50 yards within any building or camp, inhabited by people. It would align with the laws in several other Maryland counties. The bill was requested by several local sportsmen and has Delegate Betizel’s support.
