GROUPS CALL FOR PASSAGE OF HIDDEN PREDATOR ACT

Survivors of child sex abuse and their advocates are calling on Maryland lawmakers to pass the Hidden Predators Act.  They gathered in Annapolis this week to support the measure that would eliminate the civil statute of limitations and create a two-year look back window for victims who were not able to file suit because of the limitations. Advocates say not only does the bill provide support and access for adult survivors, it provides preventative protection to children by exposing predators.
