Maryland’s statewide COVID-19 positivity rate is up slightly today to nearly four-point-six percent. The Maryland Department of Health is reporting more than one-thousand-150 new coronavirus cases in the state today. This brings the total number of cases to over 402-thousand-600. Health officials say 19 more people have died from the virus, bringing the state’s death toll to more than eight-thousand. Hospitalizations also saw an increase, with 20 more people receiving treatment.
