A mother in Montgomery County is facing attempted murder charges of her young daughter. Montgomery County Police were called to the home of 28-year-old Anne Akers on Saturday after a concerned relative reached out to them. They found the woman holding her three-year-old who was severely cut, and officers quickly began life-saving efforts on the child before she was rushed to the hospital. The mother faces several charges that include attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and other related offenses.
