A major police accountability bill is advancing in Maryland’s General Assembly. The Senate passed the expansive measure late yesterday on mostly party lines. It limits no-knock warrants, bans choke holds, includes a duty-to-intervene provision and requires body cameras among other measures. Amendments still have to be approved by the House of Delegates before it goes to Governor Larry Hogan’s desk.
