The state is reporting its highest-daily COVID case total since January. Maryland health officials reported 1,669 new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday. In addition to that, there were eight more deaths, bringing the death toll to 8,165. There were also an additional 67 people hospitalized, bringing the total number of Marylanders in the hospital due to the coronavirus to more than 11-hundred.
