Lonaconing resident Dalton John Colmer was charged with both first and second-degree assault and disorderly conduct, following an incident at the Country Club Mall on Saturday afternoon. Colmer is accused of assaulting a person in a vehicle and tackling them in the parking lot; he is also accused of striking and attempting to strangle the victim. The victim was checked at the scene, and Colmer was apprehended near WalMart. He was charged, taken to the Allegany County Detention Center, and was awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
