MARYLAND PAUSES USE OF J & J VACCINE

Maryland health officials are pausing use of the single-dose Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine in the state.  The Maryland Department of Health issued a statement, saying they’re going off the recommendation from the FDA and CDC “out of an abundance of caution.”  The move follows reports of rare blood clots in some people who got the shot.  Officials say providers should maintain their supplies of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine until further guidance is released.
