WEST VIRGINIA OFFERS INCENTIVES FOR REMOTE WORKERS

West Virginia is joining the growing list of remote worker recruitment, and they’re offering a cash payment of $12,000, along with passes for a year for a number of outdoor activities to move to the Mountain State. The full relocation package is valued at more than $20,000. The new program represents a more targeted effort than a bill proposed by Governor Jim Justice for a massive income tax cut, which fell apart in the Legislature just before the regular session ended last Saturday. The coronavirus pandemic drove home the concept of working from home. Opportunities will be available later this year in Morgantown, Shepherdstown, and Lewisburg.
